Hand it a period’s financials and it drafts the finance section of your board deck: headline metrics, what moved since last period, the story behind each move, and an honest list of what it couldn’t figure out from what you gave it.
All it needs to start is this period’s P&L. You can also give it the prior period’s P&L, plan or budget figures, a few context notes of your own (“hired 3 engineers in March”), or a past board deck to copy the format from. None of those are required, and each one makes the draft better. It won’t invent a number, and it won’t guess at a cause it can’t trace back to what you gave it.
